There are many forms of insurance written to cover physical property whether it is real property, such as buildings, or personal property such as office equipment and inventory, or manufacturing raw material or completed products. Knowing what form to use is one of the most important considerations when purchasing property coverage.

A part of property insurance is “time element coverage” which includes “Business Interruption,” Loss of Income coverage and Extra Expense coverage. This insurance is to provide a business with normal operating income if it is closed down because of an accident or a fire, or any other incident that disrupts the business operations.
